Exploring the room with the compass

Following Courage's recommendation, he then embarked on a meticulous exploration of the room, compass firmly in hand. The further he distanced himself from the table, the more stable the needle became, resolutely pointing north.
He approached the floor vent; the compass remained unchanged. Next, he inspected the collapsed entrance, the map-adorned wall, and the seemingly endless rows of bookshelves, yet the compass remained undisturbed, its needle consistently pointing north.
However, as he wandered close to the ornate wall, the needle's behavior shifted dramatically. It began to gravitate, almost magnetically, towards a very specific direction. Moving back and forth along the wall, 'The Empiric' found that the needle's attraction was unwavering. It consistently pointed towards a particular section on the left side of the wall. This intriguing anomaly was not to be ignored.
And then, the haunting whisper of the nurse echoed in his memory, "An orientation device will guide your hand to it." The wall held secrets, and the compass might just be the key to unlocking them.
