The Riddle of the Four Elements
In a time long forgotten, Empiric, the wise plague doctor, entered an ancient temple dedicated to the four elements: Fire, Water, Air, and Earth. Inside, he discovered a chamber with four sealed doors, each marked with symbols representing one of the elements.
An inscription on the chamber wall read: “To find the hidden treasure, you must open the correct door. But beware, choose wrongly, and the path will be sealed forever.”
Next to the inscription, there were four cryptic clues:
Fire cannot exist without Air but fears the Water.
Earth embraces the Water but is conquered by Fire.
Air dances high above the Earth and carries the Water.
The treasure lies not behind the door of the strongest element.
Empiric knew the legend that stated each element had a strength: Fire burns Air, Air erodes Earth, Earth absorbs Water, and Water quenches Fire.
The Riddle:
Behind which door did Empiric find the treasure?
