The Riddle of the Four Elements

In a time long forgotten, Empiric, the wise plague doctor, entered an ancient temple dedicated to the four elements: Fire, Water, Air, and Earth. Inside, he discovered a chamber with four sealed doors, each marked with symbols representing one of the elements.

An inscription on the chamber wall read: “To find the hidden treasure, you must open the correct door. But beware, choose wrongly, and the path will be sealed forever.”

Next to the inscription, there were four cryptic clues:

  • Fire cannot exist without Air but fears the Water.

  • Earth embraces the Water but is conquered by Fire.

  • Air dances high above the Earth and carries the Water.

  • The treasure lies not behind the door of the strongest element.

Empiric knew the legend that stated each element had a strength: Fire burns Air, Air erodes Earth, Earth absorbs Water, and Water quenches Fire.
